June 2, Bitcoin rate increased from $9 895 to $10 429 within 30 minutes — a new wave of volatility contributed to the price growth after the close of the trading day on June 1.
Sharp growth of BTC price happened against ongoing protests in the USA caused by the death of the Afro-American through the fault of the police. For the last six days, protests escalated into riots, and the National Guard was introduced in 21 states.
About a month Bitcoin price was fluctuating within $8 600 and $10 000 and finally overcame the level of resistance. After the sharp growth BTC rate has decreased and now the first cryptocurrency is trading at the level $10 111. Bitcoin rate movement was also reinforced by the large volume of daily trades at Bitstamp and Binance exchanges.
“ETH has already started its increase earlier, and now it is time for BTC”, — Joshua Green, investment CEO in Orthogonal, said.
Following Bitcoin other large cryptocurrencies have also started growing. According to CoinMarketCap data, for the previous day prices of the 10 largest crypto assets by market capitalization have increased by 3-7%.
