Great Lakes Science Center – the museum and educational institution in the center of Cleveland, Ohio – begins to accept Bitcoins as the means of payment on 13 October.
According to DG of the museum Kirsten Ellenbogen, this decision will promote the growth of local popularization of blockchain technology.
“Acceptance of Bitcoin – is just a small part of initiative of Cleveland blockchain ecosystem development.”
In such a way, the institution becomes the third museum in the USA, which accepts BTC as payment for goods and services. Earlier this step was announced by Museum of the Coastal Bend in Texas and St. Petersburg Museum of History in Florida.
According to Ellenbogen, visitors can buy for cryptocurrency entry tickets in Glenn Visitor Center – National Center for Aeronautics and Space (NASA).
Investment resource has found out that cryptocurrency acceptance is the second large initiative of the institution after the launch of new mobile app, which uses extended and virtual reality so that visitors can better study and evaluate NASA work.
