Today in the block number 630 000 in Bitcoin Cash blockchain has happened the first halving of miners` reward.
Halving in Bitcoin Cash network has been April 8 at 11:19 according to British Summer Time (BST). And now miners of the cryptocurrency, occupying fourth place by capitalization, will get for a mined block 6,25 BCH, instead of 12,5 BCH. Respectively, miners’ income will fall twice, and if rate growth does not happen, many of them may remain at a loss.
For the March 2020 miners of Bitcoin Cash have earned $13,34 mln for mined blocks and $4 200 from transaction fees. In such a way, after reward halving they will earn just $6,7 mln, if Bitcoin Cash hashrate and BCH rate do not change.
Tomorrow (perhaps the day after tomorrow) the halving of the reward to the miners should happen on the network of another fork of Bitcoin — Bitcoin SV. Wherein, coins of both forks have risen in price before halving.
