Future.Travel, the ticket agency based in Vietnam, added to its payment list Bitcoin’s second level protocol — Lightning Network. Due to this update, cost of booking hotels and air tickets will reduce, as it is informed in press-release.
Technical support in Lightning Network integration provided Canadian company Neutronpay. Using this multicurrency platform for merchants, Future.Travel can accept cryptocurrency, converting it to Vietnamese dong at the time of sale.
At the current moment, the sum of single payment with Lightning Network usage is limited to the equivalent of $300.
“An opportunity to offer our clients secure financial transactions online — is our main issue while creating a growing online-business, which would be trustworthy. Lightning Network is the next step towards cost and time savings”, — CEO of Future.Travel David Watson claimed.
According to him, negotiations on the implementation of Lightning Network began half a year ago, and transactions using this protocol take precedence over credit cards, because they do not have extra fees. Besides, the risk of bank fraud and related refusal of cardholders from previously conducted transactions is eliminated.
By the way, six years already Future.Travel accepts Bitcoin, and recently the company has added BCH, LTC and ETH support.
