The new card game on blockchain will be based on 1980s series of adventure game books by Mark Smith and Jamie Thomson “The Tiger Way”, dedicated to the fantastic world Orb. The game will be called Arena of Death and its players will fight in battles using fantasy-themed playing cards with references to the original series of game books.

Jamie Thomson, one of the authors of books series, is CEO of Fabled Lands. He has taken a decision to use blockchain technology because he is sure that for achieving his goals it suits better than traditional technologies for video games creating. Thomson has said:

“We are going to release a computer game based on the book series, but blockchain suits much better for our goals. Just fancy that you play the board game Magic the Gathering and know that you have a card, and it really belongs to you. Or you sure that there are only 100 versions of an item or a skill, as we have promised”.

Also, the company intends to use collectible tokens (NFT) in blockchain Vechain to provide ownership of gaming assets. According to Thomson, Vechain will allow creating cards and in-game items “without necessity of cryptocurrency sphere deep studying”.
