A research, conducted by Colombian company Paxful together with Toluna Insights, has showed that 86,5% of Colombian citizens realize what are cryptocurrencies, and more than 80% are ready to invest in them – investment resource has learned.
Paxful is electronic market with payment in Bitcoins, so no wonder that majority of its clients knows about digital currencies. It`s informed that more than half of respondents aged 25 to 40 have already had a deal with cryptocurrencies and invested in them.
Wherein, Bitcoin turned to be the most popular – 79% of respondents invested in the first cryptocurrency. In addition, Colombians also invest in Bytecoin (more than 5%) and in Ethereum (less than 3%). What is more, the research has shown that 59% of respondents are interested in cryptocurrencies and plan to improve their knowledge in this sphere.
“Increase of digital currencies usage, probably, is connected with the fact that young generation communicates closely with each other through the Internet. They are constantly looking for new opportunities, allowing not only have regular access to their assets, but also providing freedom to make transactions all over the world”, – researchers stressed.
According to the research`s results, 86% of respondents think that Colombia needs to have special regulations to manage cryptocurrency industry. Wherein, 91% of respondents note that cryptocurrencies will determine the future of global trading, and 20% consider digital assets being an alternative to traditional finances.
