Ministry of Science and Technology of South Korea will spend 450 bln won (about $380 mln) from 2021 to 2026 for research and development in blockchain technology sphere – investment resource has learned.
As informs local edition ZDNet Korea, referencing to anonymous resource, a goal of current initiative is creation of digital economy based on blockchain.
“To solve the problem of trust in the digital economy, first of all, it`s necessary to provide reliability of transmitted data. With the help of blockchain we can lay the foundation of confidence in data dissemination”, -the resource claimed.
It`s supposed that investments primarily will be targeted at industry segments, bound to smart contract reliability, scalability, network compatibility and consensus methods.
