Maltese government gave scholarships to 19 students totalling €60,000 ($179,000) for studying blockchain direction and distributed ledger technology (DLT) – Bitcoin doubler 2x has got to know.
As local edition Malta Independent informs, the scholarships were provided by the secretary of Parliament for Financial Services, the Digital Economy and Innovation Silvio Schembri. This became available with the usage of the Scholarship fund, which was established by Malta’s digital innovation office and University of Malta in August 2018.
They also say that all the scholarship winners will additionally pretend to Master’s degree in blockchain and distributed registry technology. Wherein, separate groups of students will be specialized on blockchain studying in the field of law, finance, business and information & communication technologies.
About scholarships granting was announced at Malta Al and Blockchain Summit event. Besides, Shembri said that this year Malta Financial Services Authority gives initial licenses to blockchain companies. He also noted that by the end of 2018 the number of such companies in Malta reached 800.
